Stand Tall

LastNite I dreamed of riding free and into the wind,
I woke up with a broken heart to mend.

I roll out of bed and my feet hit the floor,
I start the day off with a strong cup of coffee that I pour.

Walking outside I watch the day break,
the thoughts that surround me are a little more than i can take.

I`m manipulated to my left and from my right,
I try to stay strong and fight, oh how I fight.

As the sun rises I can only smile,
Surely this all means something and it will someday all be worth while.

The dots seem to be connecting and road is long,
I feel like I live the lyrics of an unwritin song.

I close my eyes and I am free,
What`s so wrong in letting me be me?

I look down and see no pattern in the cracks of the concrete,
I look down at the ground and remanis on the miles I`ve put upon my feet.

I sit here as time is slip sliding away,
I sure have enjoyed his ride we call life I have to honestly say.

I`ve let go of the memories that once filled my mind,
I`ve made mistake after mistake and each one was a one of a kind.

I`ve sat in this same spot and and now its afternoon,
the wheel in the sky keeps on turning and the darkness comes too soon.

I look to my left and pray I do right,
for my sanity I fight and fight.

I thought I was loved and now I know I was hated by all,
I stumble and continuously fall yet I will still stand tall.
